What It Is
Post Capitalistic Art Award (PCAA) is developed by Jingyi Wang through New Value Institute from the operative structure of Post Capitalistic Auction (PCA). It is a proposed international award and remains in development.
PCAA asks whether artistic recognition can be produced through plural bidding, public deliberation, and artist-held choice without reducing different forms of value to one measure.
Its four bidding currencies are Money, Understanding, Opportunity, and Exchange. They remain distinct and non-commensurable. The participating artist holds the human authority to select which commitment becomes consequential.
Structural Inversion
PCAA separates the authority that constitutes the field from the authority that decides among bids. A selection process forms the field of participating artists; within the live mechanism, each artist holds sovereign choice over the bids for their own work.
This is the award's central inversion: the selecting institution does not determine the final form of value that prevails.
Core Architecture
PCAA has four public stages: nomination, selection, live plural bidding, and fulfilment and record.
Public deliberation may be informed by human advisors and AI-supported analysis, but neither advisors nor AI decide the outcome. Decision authority and accountability remain with the participating artist.
The exact nomination, selection, advisory, contracting, fulfilment, record, and failure-resolution procedures are not part of this public summary.
Research Status
PCAA is an initiative in development, not an announced open call or an established award programme. NVI is developing and stewarding its authorship and institutional form.
Detailed governance, legal architecture, licensing, host relationships, pilot design, software, and implementation specifications are retained for selected collaborations.
