Research & Writing

Research & Writing

Concepts, theory, analysis, and public texts emerging from artistic practice and Lab work, alongside interviews and external scholarship.

Research & Writing develops conceptual, theoretical, and critical language for the works and Labs: value as a social process, judgment as public procedure, listening as a situated relation, computation as a regime of value, and artistic practice as a way to reorganise institutional relations.

This section distinguishes clearly between NVI-authored essays, project research texts, and external academic responses.

OPEN RESEARCH AND DEVELOPING METHODS

NVI makes its central questions, concepts, artistic cases, and public research propositions openly available. Detailed research procedures, protocol specifications, transferability assessments, and partner-specific findings may remain within working research, collaborative projects, or future research-access formats while they are being tested and documented.

This distinction allows NVI to maintain public intellectual exchange while preserving the integrity, context, and accountability of research that has not yet been sufficiently tested for general use.

Research & Writing

Institute Essays

Foundational and position essays that define NVI's broader conceptual field: value, artistic intelligence, computation, labour, judgment, legitimacy, and institutional imagination.

Research & Writing

Writing on Artistic Practices

Writing that grows directly from specific artworks. These texts keep the works artistically grounded while articulating their conceptual and theoretical significance.

Research & Writing

Performance Texts

Texts written for performance, lecture performance, voice, and live presentation, published here as part of NVI's research and writing ecology.

Research & Writing

Interviews

Interviews and conversations that document the development of NVI's works, methods, and value-system research.
